Christmas at Linden Place Welcomes Michael DiMucci for a Holiday Performance in the Ballroom

LINDEN PLACE MUSEUM will celebrate its 2009 Christmas at Linden Place season with a performance by East Bay’s own Michael DiMucci, at 7:30 PM on Friday, December 18th in the Ballroom of Linden Place, 500 Hope Street, Bristol.

Michael DiMucci’s eclectic repertoire and experience in opera, musical theatre and jazz has enabled him to perform with groups from the Rhode Island Philharmonic to swing bands like Avenue A. He has served as choirmaster and organist at Lime Rock Baptist Church in Lincoln and is currently the tenor soloist and cantor at Saint Mary’s Church in Bristol. An accomplished pianist, he also appears as a solo performer around the state. He will perform a mix of classical numbers, Christmas standards, and will end this elegant evening with an audience participation sing-a-long. Tickets are $20, $16 for Linden Place members and $12 for Colt Circle Members.

This is one of my most favorite events of the year...candlelight, a cozy fireplace and the beautiful Kawai piano in the center of the ballroom surrounded by tables in a real dinner theatre atmosphere. Come and enjoy. This intimate setting contrasts to the hustle and bustle of the season and allows some time for all to listen the music of the season!

Linden Place Mansion Kicks-Off Season Opening with “Songs from Stage and Screen” Performance by Michael DiMucci & Friends

FRIENDS OF LINDEN PLACE will continue its 2009 concert series & celebrate Linden Place Museum’s opening for the season with a performance titled “Songs from the Stage and Screen”, at 7:30 PM on Friday, May 8th in the Ballroom of Linden Place, 500 Hope Street, Bristol.

Michael DiMucci will perform a selection of classic songs and standards, including movie themes, Broadway show tunes and contemporary favorites popularized by a variety of composers for the theatre stage and screen. While Michael is well known for his classical performances of opera and Neapolitan songs, he has also established himself as a popular song stylist in the tradition of Frank Sinatra and Josh Groban.
Michael will be joined by Diane Gualtieri on keyboards and vocals and Karen Mellor on percussion Michael will sing the music of Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Jerome Kern, Henry Mancini, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and others.
A wine reception to greet the artists will follow the performance. Entrance to the Ballroom is on Wardwell Street and admission is free for Colt Circle members, $15.00 for the general public and $12.00 for members of Linden Place and students with a valid ID. This concert celebrates the opening of Linden Place Museum for the 2009 season. The 1810 Federal style mansion will be open for tours of the estate Thursdays through Saturdays, 10am to 4pm and Sundays from 12pm to 4pm through Columbus Day.

Christmas at the Lobster Pot!

In the true fashion of Bristol tradition, I will be performing holiday favorites with a Christmas sing-a-long at the Lobster Pot in Bristol, RI on Friday, December 26th. I will be playing and singing in the lounge, as I have done in years past in the tradition of the late Earl Rounds from 7:00pm-10:00pm. (songbooks will be provided).

I was originally scheduled to sing and play on December 19, however....New England weather forced us to postpone until the 26th. Won't you please join me for some spirits and holiday cheer at this lovely Bristol landmark.

Linden Place Christmas a success!

Thank you so much for all of you that attended "Christmas at Linden Place". This year ( thanks to you) I performed to a "sold out" crowd. The mood of the evening was wondrous, especially since my son, Nevan took most of the limelight away from Dad....and I enjoyed every minute of it.
This year the program had a little bit of something from everyone....the halls were decked and the desserts were plentiful thanks to the wonderful staff at Linden Place. I am reminded of the true spirit of the holiday season once again...Linden Place is truly a magical place and I thank them again for their support and friendship.

This is a wonderful event to "get everyone into the holiday mood". I will be in the center of the ballroom ("in the round") at the piano and singing my favorite holiday selections, some of which I have known since childhood and some others that I have found in later years and fell in love with the words and melodies. Later we'll all join in song for some yuletide cheer. Linden Place looks absolutely elegant during this time of the year... please make your reservations now...seating is limited...don't miss this intimate and festive event! See you there!

FRIENDS OF LINDEN PLACE will conclude its 2008 concert series & celebrate Linden Place Museum's "Homes for the Holidays" Weekend with a fundraiser concert and sing-along of holiday favorites performed by tenor Michael DiMucci at 7:30 PM on Friday, December 12th in the Ballroom of Linden Place, 500 Hope Street, Bristol.

Linden Place Mansion opens fall concert series with an “al-fresco” performance by Michael DiMucci and Friends

LINDEN PLACE MUSEUM will launch its fall concert series with a performance by Michael DiMucci and Friends at 1:30 PM on Sunday October 5, 2008 in the historic sculpture and rose gardens of Linden Place Mansion, 500 Hope Street, Bristol.
The al-fresco performance will feature Michael DiMucci and friends celebrating fall with a cornucopia of songs, from jazz standards and swing a la Sinatra to Broadway show tunes and Italian favorites. Pianist Diane Gualtieri, percussionist Karen Mellor and trumpeter Dick Parent accompany Michael’s soaring tenor to create a veritable feast of music for a very special Sunday afternoon at Linden Place.
Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and all picnic amenities! Additionally, an optional picnic lunch can be pre-ordered for $10 and picked up at Linden Place upon arrival.
Admission is free for Colt Circle members, $15.00 for the general public and $10.00 for members of Linden Place and students with a valid ID.
